I had this problem big time while I was pregnant. I had to really limit my carbs to mitigate the problem. Also eating more fat really seemed to help.

One HCL capsule doesn't have that much acid really. If you take the capsule with food you should be okay. At worse it should give mild heartburn at the end of the meal. But perhaps what you're taking has some other ingredient not agreeing with... (more)

I would disagree with that generalization. The main thing with FODMAPs is that they cause gas, not the symptoms you describe.
