It seems I get a bet of nausea and acid reflux right after a drink cream on an empty stomach. I use ecological cream and I take lactrase enzymes with it so that the lactose won't be a problem. Why do I get this symptoms?
Lactose may not be the problem. Lots of people cannot tolerate casein, which is a protein found in milk. There is no pill to reduce casein, like there is for lactose. A big dose of fat on an empty stomach may cause reflux.
First off, I used the search function but could not find anything related. If anyone is aware of a similar topic, do kindly point me in the correct direction. I've always had a history of gastric attacks. You know, the usual symptoms: skip a meal... (more)

Acid reflux is typically too little stomach acid, not too much. When you ate the highly acidic "Cheerios", it balanced the acidity temporarily.

There have been a few threads about cheats and popcorn, but I am curious about the 'best' way to do it. Not so much about alternatives, or the psychology of cheat days. One of my pleasures when going to the movies is popcorn. I know it is bad for... (more)
Popcorn has been so hard to give up. I had some at a movie a while ago, and I did a calorie deficit and followed it with a long walk. Was it optimal? Probably not, but the point is to make overall beneficial changes, not torment ourselves.

Paleo diet helps with acid reflux but in my case it doesn't eliminate it. In fact, neither do any of the PPIs (even Dexilant + Zantac + Domperidone). I tried D-limonene, though, and it does seem to help. What are your thoughts on whether this is... (more)
