If I had to choose I'd go with free-range, grass-fed red meat such as beef or bison. Venison (deer) is very lean and hard to get fat with it, so you often need to add fat of some kind (for example when making venison meatballs or sausage), which... (more)
Yes, animal fat helps me sleep while coconut oil destroys my sleep. I cook with pastured lard in the evenings because I'm so sensitive to the coconut oil now, it's crazy. I sleep amazingly well after eating animal fat.
Today I got fed up with hearing people at work suggest that adding something like bacon, butter, or dressing suddenly made "healthy" foods "unhealthy." As if to suggest that the healthiness of something is determined only by its proximity to... (more)
Its kinda nice to see for yourself that you can cover all the RDA's eating paleo if you wish. But, dig a little deeper into that rabbit hole and you find yourself questioning the RDA scheme validity altogether.
Endotoxins (aka lipopolysaccharides) are part of the membrane of gram negative bacteria and they have some toxic effects in the body. I've been hearing a new pro-vegan argument that animal products tend to have more endotoxins than plants and this... (more)

I have n=1 evidence that this is the case. I was at a party once, and there was a vegan there. As the party got on, she started nibbling on the ear of some guy. Later, I swear she had overpowered him and was trying to eat his tongue.
