Bananas are one of the highest in sugar fruits out there! If you want a fruit smoothie in the AM, you should try using berries... And I would use EITHER milk OR yogurt, not both. The avocado is a great addition though!

Try dropping them for two weeks and replacing it with equal calorie-amount fat (1 tbsp butter or oil should do it). Add them back in. See if it makes a difference. We can't really assess your body like that for you, though I can say I feel great... (more)

You should be ripe... Banana in early stages are more starchy then in their later stages which is why everything held together... As they ripen/soften that starch turns to sugar but it's the same amount of carbohydrate at the end of the day.... (more)

I love them in my morning shake....spinach, avocado, carrot, kale and 2 bananas with water and ice, blended. Delicious and no hunger pangs till late lunchtime.

Years ago a blood test revealed that I was allergic to bananas. I don't know why, but after I eat one I burp bananas for several hours.

Wikipedia claims that bananas have the same type of fiber (resistant starch) as grains. A few Paleo books have made the claim that the type of fiber in grains is bad for the gut, scratching and tearing it along the way. Does banana fiber do the same? (more)
