Barefoot running can lead to a greater likelihood of injury if transition is not slow. Inflammation of the posterior tibial tendon and other foot structures is more likely with barefoot running. Consider transitioning slowly or using a more... (more)

I am no pro runner however run only in BF shoes when I do my 3-4 milers and my sprints. I think one of the primary problems with the transition from regular shoes to BF shoes is that runners keep the same stride length and upper body positioning.... (more)

Start with very short distances. I run in Merrell pace gloves and have gone as far as 3.5 miles in them, but I started by running maybe 1/4 to 1/2 a mile at a time. This should give your feet time to adjust and build up the necessary muscles.... (more)

If you're wearing running shoes, that means that you're still striking incorrectly. When jogging, you should MIDSTRIKE, which means that your forefoot hits first and then your heel VERY shortly afterward. This is physically impossible with a pair... (more)

There is big difference in hunting 2 times per week (probably different runner every hunt) and resting / low intensity for rest of the time and running 1+ hr 5+ times per week with 8+ hr jobs.
