My husband and I have been eating Paleo for the last 3 months. I haven't had my bloodwork done yet but my husband's results just came back and since we are still relatively new to this lifestyle, we're really not sure how to interpret these... (more)
I've been having some MAJOR issues lately and just got a ton of bloodwork done. My results are in (and very troubling-especially the hormones) but I can't get in to see my doc for another 2.5 weeks for a consult. She's very progressive and I'm... (more)
How does my blood work look? 38 yo female, 5'7" 122 lbs, 13% body fat, HIIT 5x / week. Gets at least 8 hours of sleep. Should I worry about LDL being small and dense? Dr says 'no' - it's such a new test and no one completely knows how to... (more)
I have no problem going without any food all morning, but do you think a cup of black tea with no cream or sweetener would skew the bloodwork results? I do enjoy my morning ritual of a cup of tea with my book before starting my workout and my day. (more)
Probably not, but why take the risk of mucking up the tests? It's only for one morning, you'll spend weeks trying to deal with the consequences of a bad blood test.
Blood test shows Globulin low, Albumin/Globulin Ratio high, Platelet count low. What does this mean? I am 50 y.o. male on paleo diet.
I got my Blood checked because of declining libido and other symptoms as: unmotivated to do anything No energy/Drive insecurity loss of muscle mass dandruff gain of fat around midline (although on paleo and lifting weights regulary) Some... (more)
Each year my job requires I get a physical and the only thing that ever comes back high or low is my cholesterol (226) and HDL (74). However, I noticed that I was showing a low PLT (platelet count) of 169 and high Mono % (monocyte percentage) of... (more)

Happened upon Biophysical Corp.'s site, & was impressed by the sheer number of biomarkers their 6 colossal test panels cover. As I have already done a number of panels through truehealthlabs.com (a great site), I won't be springing for the... (more)

Hello everyone, I was hoping to get some feedback on my blood work I just received. I'm 28, I train jiu-jitsu 4 to 6 times a week walk about 15 kms every week, and I have been paleo for about 8 weeks. Total cholesterol 251; Triglycerides 62; HDL... (more)
Your triglyceride/hdl ratio is great, so the prediction is that if you had a VAP test done, you'd find that your LDL is mostly large and fluffy (so good). If I were you, I wouldn't be concerned at all.
Can someone hack my results and let me know what i need to fix please Diet: strict paleo with no nuts (phytic aicd) and fruit (fructose/sugars) train 4-5 days a week. Metabolic conditioning 2 of those 5 days and run the other 2-3 days at a... (more)
Had an infection? Aspirin, alcohol can contribute to those values. agree with the b12, try sublingual b12 if you can't get injection. (not a dr use at own risk)
I started a Paleo diet around 3-4 months ago, I've had great external results so far, but I wanted to make sure that I didn't have any internal problems (high blood pressure, cholesterol, etc) so I went to the doctor for blood work this... (more)
Both my parents and brother are/were type 2 diabetics (mom and brother were obese, dad was thin). My primary goal is to avoid the diabetes monster. My A1C had been inching up steadily over the years to mid-5s so I started testing glucose... (more)
Follow the directions for fasting; eating too soon will throw glucose and tricyclerides off. Try not to stress beforehand as cortisol will cause a higher fasting glucose. Drink at least a cup on water beforehand and hydrate well the day before, so... (more)
