Try carb back loading and adding some raw milk in there, it's the most anabolic substance outside of steroids. Add it to a post work out shake or something, even if it's not paleo.

Meat, animal fat, eggs, sweet potato, potato, olives/oil, avocados, coconut, nuts (macadamia has the best qualities and highest in calories). Basically high fat and starchy carbs are your best bet on the paleo diet.

Fructose is at its most damaging when you are in a hyper-caloric state. You will partition much cleaner into muscle and glycogen if you limit fruit and sugar.
