yes, probably the high content of caffein that triggers acne. I started with paleo to get rid of acne. I had to quit drinking coffee because of the breakouts I get from it.

This may be tied in to the concept of "adrenal fatigue", in which caffeine and ketogenic diets are both implicated. Thus, it is possible that the sugar is off-setting some effect that the caffeine is having on you.
