Calories. Something incredible for me.

I noticed something... I don't get what's going on. Either I have different genetics or I am a cyborg or something. On a GOOD day I get about 1000 calories. Most days I get around 800 calories. Everyone says this is low but I been doing this for a year. I am perfectly healthy and I feel wonderful. I sungaze (look it up) and this guy who sungazes has been watched and hasn't eaten anything for a year I think it was. I will have to look again. He was monitored to make sure he doesnt eat etc. Maybe that's why I survive off of so few calories? I know it sounds crazy... But I feel wonderful and most days I am lucky to hit 700 calories. I enjoy my meat, fruits and veggies. I consume zero sugar. Have any of you heard of this before? I thought I was getting too few calories because society kept telling me it's bad. Well I am still here and after going paleo I feel even better. I am also hardly ever hungry. (No I am not starving) I am super healthy and have a wonderful build. I eat 3 eggs every morning no matter what. Veggies and fruit with every meal. all organic.

Have you heard of this before? I am not losing weight. I am keeping weight and feeling wonderful

Please don't do anything as foolish as stare at the sun, under the misguided notion that you are receiving nourishment through your eyeballs. You'll get some vitamin D and scorched eyeballs. Take care of yourself.

Matt, I count my calories though. I been taking the same amount calories on my old way of eating and the same amount when I went paleo. I add up everything and count it at the end of the day. I always average 800-1000 calories.

How much do you weigh? How tall, how old, m/f ? Sounds like you are crazy thin or ?

I think sungazing is a great way to replenish your energy. I've only dabbled in it and wish I had the time/opportunity to do more. Since I have little experience, I can't give an opinion on wether or not what you're doing is safe or healthy, but I am concerned that you felt the need to post this. If you really felt that you were in perfect health, why would you bother? Perhaps a part of you is concerned about your well being, and it would be best to get checked out by a naturopath.

The sun you are gazing at has probably burned out part of your retinas so you can't see how much you are eating. Or you might have slipped into a strange ecstatic state from this practice of staring at the sun, like a hunger artist or a religious acolyte who restricts food to induce an altered state. You might THINK you are strong and healthy, but if you are truly ingesting this number of calories daily, you are suffering. I'd go see someone - but maybe don't tell them about this staring at the sun thing, they might think you are crazy and put you on a 72 hr psych evaluation. Eat more. Stop being weird.

Where do you propose the extra energy is coming from, such that you are not muscle wasting, or adipose burning? Humans don't photosynthesize.

I think your probably counting wrong.

How much exercise do you do? Do you lift, or sprint, or hike? What are you using to count your calories?

Lastly, aren't you hungry? Don't you enjoy food?
