I'm going to an overnight week summer camp and will not be able to eat paleo, should I bring snacks like nuts and stuff and have those instead of sugary granola bars an just have the meals? its my fifth year going but first time paleo lifestyle,... (more)

dude if you're 15 and at summer camp, getting laid should be your priority, not being the point dexter with the organic pate and veggies. Girls >sports>life goals>food

So I'm a camp counselor for a week in August, and this will be my first year on a paleo diet. It's never been a problem before, but they definitely don't prepare paleo meals! Lots of pizza and pasta and ice cream...that sorta stuff. I'm not... (more)

My ideas: Pack a ton of nuts. One week of high omega-6 eating won't kill you. If you usually need to eat meat in order to feel okay, pack some affordable jerky. Eating some nitrates won't kill you. If you're okay with dairy, pack some... (more)

I've been looking for summer camps, preferably sleepaway, for next year that can either be able to accommodate with a paleo diet or centered around paleo diets. I know of camps for those with celiac disease and thought there might be one for paleo... (more)

Do you have access to a dehydrator? Or an oven that can remain at low temps like 200F (or even 150F)? Considering dehydrating a LOT of meat, and making jerky to pack. Also pack a bunch of fresh veggies and fruit that will stay good - e.g. carrots,... (more)

I think a retreat like this could be valuable as long as it included workshops led by survival specialists (in the style of MovNat). I think it would be really hard to just "figure it out" when most modern-day humans have not been taught a thing... (more)
