i have had the exact same thing happen with enteric coated peppermint capsules. the brown little shells would come out broken in the toilet but i knew they opened in my colon because it felt like toothpaste coming out my butthole.

I've heard that digestive enzymes are often destroyed by stomach acid (and therefore a capsule is needed to protect the enzymes from the stomach acid), but there's nothing protecting raw food, and yet it is often praised for the digestive enzymes... (more)

What say you all? And also what about bee propolis and royal jelly. I have seen two different primitive groups scarfing down those honey combs. I don't see a problem with separating the various goodies out. But then, what about veggie caps? ... (more)

I've been using Carlson Vitamin D drops. They're cheap, convenient and on the latest Paleo Solution podcast Robb Wolf was saying that they gave better results than caps.

I heard somewhere that msg-intolerant people sometimes get reactions from the stuff that supplement capsules are made of. Any thoughts on whether there is anything un-Paleo in vitamin gel caps?

vitamin gel caps are made of animal gelatin. therefor paleo, also, vegetarian ones are made of cellulose, therefor paleo.
