Link between Carb intake and Fat Cravings?

So I have googled and searched to death trying to find some answers to my interesting and frustrating issue to no avail. Has anyone found that they had Insatiable- and i mean rabid- fat cravings when eating very low carb specifically no added starches?

i have been eating Paleo for 3 years and very low carb for most of that until recently and the only way i leaned out was when i cut fats and ate a PSMF Paleo. However, i have horrendous fat cravings for GOOD fats (re: grass fed butter, coconut manna, nut butters, homemade mayo) when i do not consume starchy carbs. In fact, it seems that eating fats causes me to crave them and for some reason even keeping calories low i just gain fat (yes FAT not muscle) when i eat low carb because i am apparently eating too much despite still craving more! Note: I have not had issues with carb or sugar or starch cravings in 2.5 years.

i have just recently upped my intake of starchy carbs from none to about 65-75g and around 90-100g total with veg as an experiment and BAM immediately saw extinction of fat cravings post meals with sweet potatoes/squash/etc where I added NO fats just lean protein. So I am basically eating a high protein, moderate carb, low fat diet with lower calories and actually feel great and have more energy for lifting. But if I try to add some in I immediately get bad cravings again.

What gives? I love good fats but it does not seem like they love me! Has anyone else seen or experienced this or know a biological explanation for this?

I do understand the idea that it I am fat adapted than I would crave that for energy- but when I saw insatiable I mean I could tear through a 1/4 of butter or half a jar of nut butter and still crave more even when stuffed so I was constantly fighting them as all I did was gain body fat even with hard weight workout 4-5x a week. And now even eating starches if I consume say a bit of butter or heck even a taste of olive oil it's like a (literal) slippery slope! Shouldn't my body then switch to glucose and therefore crave carbs- because it doesn't!

I haven't experienced 'horrendous fat cravings' but more like an increased taste for fat - which makes perfect sense. Your body has to run on something, if it's not carbs then you only have fat left to choose from. You have to pick to your fuel, which one that is is up to.

body prob wants more starches and needs them if you are working out 4-5 times a week... have you tried higher fat, moderate protein and carb? this keeps me full, eating 2 meals per day.
