Just keep an eye on your blood sugar. A cheap glucose meter from walmart is under $20. Depending on the individual, a glucose bolus can be terribly harmful. Once serum glucose goes over 140, serious and most likely permanent damage is being... (more)

I've been doing the Leangains style of IF since January with really great results (lost 7kg, maintained muscle, increased strength), and more importantly started learning more about foods & macros. More recently I've been reading around Paleo... (more)

I'm using Leangains + Paleo-ish in order to reach single digit body fat percentage. I'm currently hovering just above 10 and have discovered my first abdominal vein (SWEET). I really like the approach and have had quite a bit of success with it.... (more)

Can any of you give some examples of eating patterns that would incorporate IF and carb cycling for maximum fat loss? Feel free to give eating menu examples. Maybe a better way to ask would be: Knowing what you know now, what would be the best... (more)

I seen a number of posts on here in regards to low testosterone (mine included) and was wondering if anyone has tried the anabolic diet? You can do a Paleo version of it and it basically a more sophisticated version of carb cycling. Looks... (more)

No, IF won't automatically make you enter ketosis. For the body to use ketones as it's primary source the glycogen stores needs to be depleted and it's not certain that will happen during your IF period. and to be honest, the first days on... (more)

I feel as though "carb" refeeding is not exact enough. If you are eating a low GI food or a high GI food makes a difference. What is happening with a refeed is you are restoring glycogen. You can do this safely by eating something that does not... (more)

What are you trying to accomplish? I don't really see this as a refeed of any sort. On a refeed you should go big or go home. At least double+ your carbs and yes drop the fat to ~50g for the day. I just don't see the benefit to what you are... (more)
