I've been on a weight loss journey for several years now. It seems that no matter what I do, my body likes to hover around 162-165. 162 is the lowest I have ever had as an adult since starting the journey, and most of the time I'm 165. It seems no... (more)
Do you eat the same foods or macro ratios every day, or change things around? And how often? In terms of overall food intake (by calories, if you like) I think it's good to vary your intake, some days eating more to boost metabolism, some days... (more)
I think one of the hardest things to deal with I'm currently battling is the idea that I can't ever have a hamburger with bun again. I mean, I know I can, but as soon as I do, I'll surely get incredibly sick from the bun. Now, I know the proper... (more)

When I made the (abrupt) switchover from (organic) SAD to Paleo, I suffered from constipation, something that continued appearing from time to time. What I have learnt is that, for me at least, the most important factor is my gut bacteria. Since... (more)
So I started the Paleo lifestyle about 3 weeks ago. I eat only meat/fish/eggs, non-starchy veggies, and nuts/avocado, with the occasional piece of 90% dark chocolate. I eat about 60-80 grams of carbs a day, 1200-1400 calories, and I exercise... (more)
Expeller-pressed coconut oil is healthier and, at least on the international commodities market, cheaper than canola oil. So why don't more restaurants use it as their cooking oil of choice, particularly as its reputation for being a healthy oil... (more)

Keep your culture in America and not contaminate the rest of the world? You have to come from somewhere else to appreciate how much America smells of Cinnabon. It's gone too far, you'll never rescue it.
I began paleo 2 years ago, and can't say enough how much it's positively impacted my life. However, I've always seemed to do well with a high-fat, high redmeat/eggs and very, very low carbs. I couldn't handle sweet potatoes or even fruit just... (more)
How long has this change been for? And, since you recently started on birth control, I wonder -- were your hormones otherwise normal (as in a regular menses prior to this)?
Without watching this movie, I suspect it's mostly proving their point, but not actually suggesting what we need to do. So, to anyone who's seen it, what are the bullet points for what the movie says that I DO in order to heal my brain. Is there... (more)
