My favorite way is to add the cod liver oil to my bowl of bone-broth stew, which isn't hot enough to damage the CLO. It adds a rich underlying flavor that isn't fishy or liver-ish and as a base flavor my taste buds find it very pleasant.

you can get FCLO in a bottle from Green Pastures... it is thicker. I think it would work. Alternatively if you are skeptical to put FCLO on your face and still want a natural way try tea tree oil on the spots, wash with witch hazel or apple cider... (more)

I've tried them all and cinnamon is the best and even that's not so great. After a while, you just get used to it. I wash it down quickly with warm herbal tea.
