I am just looking for some advice on how to gain more control over my ways of eating. I have been eating paleo for a few months now but with the move to college and living on campus have found it hard to sometimes stay on track. I pre-cook... (more)

Is there something that the paleo diet cannot change in your life regarding your physical health? How do you deal with these emotions? How do you know whether to blame yourself or not for not? How do you know how much control you really... (more)

Genetics is not destiny, but it does severely limit where (not what) we can achieve. Sorry, but that's the truth. I am 5'9" I have a wicked shot and drain baskets in my men's league. But, I am too short, not quick enough -- I will never play in... (more)

Fresh oysters. I'm starting to feel like Johnny Seed-Oyster on that subject these days. The food that is also a vitamin and mineral supplement. Beyond that, almost anything that's local is a superfood, preferably fresh and wild. Any vaccinum... (more)

By regularly, I mean once or twice a week. That's all I need to ensure I have 100% complete control over my eating habits. I feel so light and pure on shrooms, that I want nothing "filthy" to pollute my body. I eat a 100% healthy,... (more)

There is a lot of evidence that prehistoric humans (and even more recent than that) ate psychedelic mushrooms and other psychedelics ritually and for healing purposes. So are psilocybe mushrooms paleo? Definitely. I as well have lately been... (more)

I finally decided to go off the pill (been on for the last 5 years, age 20-25) in an attempt to clean up my body. My gyno put me on the pill because of my painful periods, frequent yeast infections and I heard it would calm my mild breakouts.... (more)

I went off the pill a little over a year ago after a 7 year stint. I have to say that the transition was really great, though my period was infrequent for the first 4-5 months, it came back and was normal after that. I did supplement vitamin D... (more)

Firstly, that's a rather severe calorie restriction, and it can stall weight-loss. Trying eating closer to 1500. Secondly, the scale is not your friend. You can't trust the numbers because of the way body compositions change with diet and... (more)

I have a very similar story. After months of researching potential causes and solutions, and many scars later, I finally concluded that my outbreaks were reactions to food allergies. I have leaky gut syndrome and developed allergies to many foods... (more)

Paleo or not, the pill sucks! I was on it for about 8 or 9 years. I went through huge episodes of depression. I was suicidal at times too. There were times that I was so crazy I don't even know how my now-husband stayed with me through it! I went... (more)

I started eating Paleo in March of 2011, a few months after having my third child. I gained 50 pounds with that pregnancy, so I definitely had some weight to lose. I had been losing weight consistently up to that point and expected that by going... (more)

I agree - no reason to believe you'll be infertile. I suspect a bigger factor than length of time on birth control is age - people who have been on birth control for a long time are more likely to be at an age where they aren't quite as fertile as... (more)

Today I overeat with hazelnuts. I don't wanna throw up. I fear that the phytic acid weakens my system. Its was 200gm. This should be 7 to 8oz? Do you do anything when eating too much nuts, to stop the harmful effects?

I relax, go on with my life and stop worrying about such trivial things. The stress from worrying about "overeating" nuts is far far greater than the actual biological harm.
