Heart is really red, lean meat. You may argue that it has a little extra Se and B12, but otherwise, it is a muscle and you overdose on it same as you would overdose on flank steaks. What heart has that is unique is that it is perfect for... (more)

After awhile tweaking Paleo/PHD, my teeth have begun remineralizing noticeably, and my health is improving. However, my gums have become noticeably more pocketed. I've read some about using CoQ10 (liquid or normal pill form) to heal pocketing... (more)

Hi all! My mom is on paleo for about 5 months now and she is doing great, lots of veg. >600 gr. and a bit fish and grass-fed meat. Three to four meals a day. Cheats every day with a piece of rye bread and about 200 ml sad yoghurt per day.... (more)

I found these at Bed, Bath and Beyond of all places! They were $14.99 but used the 20% off coupon. Please tell me these are Paleo because I am excited to use these as hot cereal, toppings, out of the bag, etc. The ingredients on the first one is... (more)

I like to have control over the ingredients I eat. You can make your own Paleo breakfast "cereal". Here's one I like: http://www.marmaladeandmileposts.com/archives/21240. (Skip the xylitol and use the Paleo sweetener of your choice). (more)

My supplement list is fairly short. I take CoQ10 and a K complex (200mg K1, 200mg Mk7) in the morning, and a standard ZMA (400mg mag cit, 30mg zinc, 10mg b6) in the evening. I have taken Cod Liver Oil in the past, although lately my PUFA has been... (more)

For those of you who take ubiquinol, what did it do for you? Have you seen a difference in energy levels and skin texture?

I don't feel any difference. I never tried very high doses for a longer time (like 1-2g), the most I took was single day 300mg and I take 30mg otherwise. Some people I know feel it a lot. Quality and type are essential. Maybe my gingivitis... (more)

I'm interested in getting more CoQ10 in my diet instead of supplementing. I've tried beef heart and I find it kind of gross when it's not braised or ground up in meat and cooked thoroughly. I don't mind chicken hearts but I'm paranoid of uncooked... (more)

I got an inguinal hernia (a "guy thing"). Lifting weights sure doesn't help. I thought my recumbent bike was working miracles for a while - and I do mean a real bike, out on century rides on county roads, not a pitiful exercise machine in the... (more)

I woudlnt do fish oil, its easy enough to get the nutrition from good fish. I would consider K2 also. I am wondering what would be a good brand for K2 supplements?

I supplement with K-2 and since I started doing so, all of the spider veins I had in my ankles and at the sides of my nose have disappeared.
