I personally think it's the overuse of commercial facial cleansers and over drying our skin. I would drop $100 easily on scrubs and cleansers from Sephora, but it wasn't making my skin or husband any happier. The past month however, I started... (more)

Despite appearances otherwise, I see paleo as being incredibly individualistic. It's not one-size-fits-all, it's something that must be fit to one's individual needs/goals.

What evolutionary advantage would it confer? Can't the sex drive just sputter and die? Is the need to keep sex in ones life culturally driven? Why would/do old people have sex? I ask, oh people of the Paloehacks oracle.

I'd like to try making some lacto fermented veggies. I don't do dairy anymore but make coconut yogurt. Is the strained 'whey' from that usable for lacto fermenting like dairy whey? Thanks!

What culture/starter are you using to make the coconut yogurt? If it's truly fermented, then the good bacteria in the yogurt would be in the whey and should work to make lacto-fermented veggies. You could also just add an extra pinch of sea salt... (more)
