Hi so I chose to transition to the Paleo diet over the course of around 3 days. Today's the third day. The day before yesterday I ended up eating heaps, mostly paleo-stuff, lots of fat, and ended up eating most my usual carbs on top of it (rice,... (more)

Hemp oil is about 55% linoleic acid, e.g. omega-6 fat. In addition to being pro-inflammatory, n-6 fats disrupt hunger signaling both in the intestine and in the brain. Ditch the hemp oil immediately, and use fats high in saturates that will... (more)

Quick question... has anyone found that eating an avocado a day is stalling their weight loss? I introduced one a few weeks ago to add some extra fat and calories into my diet. I am near my goal weight so I'm sure that could be a factor as well. I... (more)

So... are there any paleo Valentine's Day treats that you know of? I'd like to give some goodies to my mom, but I don't want them to be super unhealthy. Any ideas?

Is it better to get all your calories in one meal so that your body isn't regularly producing insulin or does the body have trouble processing all that food at once? also, the meal in question would be low carb and high fat.

It is better to take hot showers in the morning as heat is stimulating and may keep you up if you shower too close to bed time. I often do some contrast hydro therapy before bed to promote relaxation. This involves alternating hot and cold... (more)

I'm curious why most people do a 30 day challenge? Is it because you are off paleo/primal and trying to get back on track (or just starting?) Or is there a reason, while being paleo/primal, that one does the challenge (ie: weight plateaus?). (more)
