I've been drinking a kale smoothie every morning for a few weeks and it's been great so far! They contain plenty of vitamins/minerals/fats, but I'm almost completely lacking protein. For the past few days, I've been scrambling up 3 duck eggs from... (more)

I put two or three raw chicken egg yolks in my kale smoothie every morning and have for years. I get the eggs from a neighbor and have never had a problem. Just make sure the shells are clean before you crack them.

Just curious. Do any of you enjoy duck eggs? My son just got 9 ducklings and we hope to have eggs later this year. I myself have never had a duck egg, but from what he has researched that duck eggs are better. I don't know. What are you thoughts... (more)

duck eggs are amazing, keep on eye on your girls, as the eggs are sometimes hard to find! they also tend to only lay during the summer, there are a few breeds that lay year round though. the white tend to be a bit thicker then regular eggs and... (more)

I LOVE perusing Asian markets because of all the interesting stuff, but I don't buy most of it because of sketchy ingredients (lots of MSG for instance). today I found some packs of salted duck eggs with no scary ingredients. Wikipedia seems to... (more)

I eat them sometimes, to me they taste ok, very salty though. Be warned though that the texture is nothing like regular eggs because of the salt bath they have had. I buy them from an asian supermarket, but they are produced in the UK, so that's... (more)

Hi all, I have 6 ducks living in the backyard. It's pretty awesome. They are ducky. Over the past year of their lives, we've fed them basically the "duck feed" you get from a livery store, along with as much natural wild food as we can. Having... (more)

I love duckies and have many duckies. Spring, summer and into fall, they hardly eat the grain-based feed I put out for them because there is so much other good food for them to forage but we have a few acres they can work on. They also get all... (more)

I found a place today where I can get duck eggs, but I want to know more about them first. I've only ever had chicken eggs, and fish roe. No other eggs to base it off of. What is the taste I can expect. I've read the taste is "stronger", but I... (more)

The taste isn't all that different, but, there is MUCH more yolk compared to a chicken egg, so some people can't handle them over easy or poached. Scrambled alone or with a chicken egg seems to be a favorite. The texture is different due to the... (more)

Title basically sums it up. I do not tolerate chicken eggs very well. I have tried eating just the yolk but they still seem to sit in my stomach/cause other gastrointestinal issues. Do you think there's a chance I might tolerate duck eggs or goose... (more)

YES! I don't handle chicken eggs well. It's gut problems for me, rather than stomach problems if you catch my drift. I can eat 1/2 a chicken egg mixed into something, but more than that is problematic. Duck eggs are fine for me though, at least... (more)
