I am three weeks in and the first thing I notices is that I wasn't hungry at all anymore. Which was huge for me because I was ALWAYS hungry. For some reason, I had always "cheated" before but with Paleo, I don't feel like I have to or even want... (more)

So I was prescribed 6 days of prednisone for "trench foot" (forgot my wool socks for snowboarding). The dosage decreases by 4 mg everyday, starting at 24 mg at Day 1. I know it's not a terribly large amount, but the side effects have not been... (more)

Today I took some time to write in my journal about how great I feel lately, and I know it's a direct correlation in regards to now eating Paleo. When my addict mind starts to stray back to those foods I thought I could never give up, I'm going to... (more)

This is weird, but my body seems to have better temperature control. I used to be cold all the time, but now I seem to maintain my temp better. I don't know if it's Paleo related, but I have to assume it is, since that's the only thing I've... (more)

Hi, there are quite a few sources, which state the benefits of ketosis on the nervous system. E.g. as a treatment for epileptics, to reduce the severity and frequency of their seizures. Interestingly, ketosis seems to change a lot in the way our... (more)

Cooking has become a hobby of mine since going Paleo. I always come across great French sauces with booze in them. I've heard Alton Brown say that alcohol never cooks away completely. But I wonder what effect a glass of wine or shot of two of... (more)

A little bit of alcohol is not likely to cause an issue for anybody. I know from past experience that you can put a whole bottle of wine in a pot of boeuf bourgignon, eat about half of it, and not get so much as the tiniest buzz, even as a... (more)
