I've heard that people who are longtime vegetarians/veg*ns/vegetarians/veg*ns from birth that the first time they have meat/first time they have meat in a while it can make them sick. Was this the case with you? Or did you handle it just fine? (more)

I ate hardly any meat for 15 years and recently started eating beef and bison again. My system has taken a while to adjust (I did jump into eating about 6 ounces at a time so I'm not surprised). I had gas/bloating in the beginning and still deal... (more)

Maybe it would help to start with animal fats or broths? Have you tried roasted vegetables in lard or bacon fat? Or maybe a vegetable soup made with a little chicken broth? Greens boiled in a little pork broth? If you can tolerate one of these,... (more)

While I was never a raw vegan (or vegan at all, for that matter.) I stumbled on some PETA propaganda when I was 12 years old and remained a vegetarian until my freshman year of college. Even though I was eating eggs and dairy, my body still... (more)

I am normally cold in an air condition room and am experiencing being very hot. I was wondering if anyone else experienced this when they started eating meat. Is there a way to cool off short of going naked? I am very uncomfortably hot?
