I've been adding a little salt to my "buttered greens" stir fry every day, but that's about it. I have a big pot of bone broth on right now. I'll add some salt to that and see how I feel. I ate a big green banana after posting last night and... (more)

I've been on a paleo diet for around a year, but lately I've been feeling thirsty all the time. I would avoid trying to quench my thirst at night because I would always end up waking up to go to the bathroom if I had too much to drink. However,... (more)

Thirst is a common symptom if you're in ketosis. Are you currently VLC? I drink 2 of those 1L nalegene bottles a day plus a couple cups of herbal tea (I'm pretty active though). That being said I used to drink way more H2O before I upped my salt... (more)

I've been Paleo for a year and sometimes my stomach becomes upset after eating. Sometimes after eating I get nauseous. It doesn't happen until about 2 hours after eating, and lasts for 3 or 4 hours. As time passes, my stomach makes gurgle noises... (more)

I switched to paleo 5 days ago, and doing pretty well. I have avoided most common symptoms of starting paleo by being sure to include fats, I think, but I had a question about thirst. I woke up today and it feels like no matter how much water I... (more)

Paleo wizards: I was previously eating about 80/20 paleo, with the 20% being mostly sweets and my beloved Diet Coke. I decided to try the whole 30, and started on 1/10/12. I expected to feel awful at the beginning, and I did: irritable, sleepy,... (more)

Sounds like low carb flu to me. Get your serotonin levels up while your body adjusts; ensure you have heaps of magnesium in your diet, get onto some 5-htp for a few weeks, and increase turkey intake for the tryptophan

Even in the non paleo world, water consumption is considered a health benefit. My question is, How much should we drink per day and are there specific times to drink that maybe more beneficial. It would be helpful if answers can include the... (more)

I've been eating Primal/Paleo for nine months. My diet has been shifting, somehow on it's own, towards pretty low carb. Recently, I get really thirsty, but I can't seem to slack my thirst, no matter how much or often I drink. I am 5'5, female,... (more)
