I love mountain biking. The last two weekends I have been out on my bike, for about four hours (with a few breaks) each time. It's quite intense exercise, but I feel capable and fine at the time. Afterwards, I get very hungry and eat a... (more)

Hi guys, I've been VLC paleo for the last month or so, feeling the benefits, nothing extraordinarily unusual. Took a long hike up a steep mountain (8 hours round trip) on the weekend and didn't eat much during the hike (grapefruit, cup of... (more)

Are you regularly low on calories? You say you are VLC, how low is that for you? Personally I would recommend a week or so of extra carbs from starchy veg. Then maybe you can alternated VLC with occasional bouts of eating more carbs.... (more)

Hi guys, So I'm fairly new to the idea of IF so I thought I would ask a few questions regarding exercise and what will give me the best results. Yesterday I did a 24 hour fast and felt great and ate a large Paleo dinner as usual. I would like to... (more)

As for working out while doing IF, just do your workouts near the end of your fast so you can eat afterwards. I see no need for BCAA during the day to protect from muscle wasting. The body doesn't naturally want to catabolize muscle unless there... (more)

After intense, fast, and heavy weight training, I find myself very spent. When I was eating a diet high in carbohydrates it was very evident that I indeed had more energy. I have found that coconut water is a big help in my feeling better, and not... (more)
