Hi All, this is an experiment, not really a question. If it is not acceptable on this website, please delete the thread. I've been suffering from insomnia and IBS for 20 years (I'm 33 now). Maybe I was born with this problem, I don't know. What... (more)

Hi Michael, I tried water fasting for 24 days (almost 2 years ago) to get rid of my IBS and a skin condition... while my symptoms were reduced during the fast it did nothing to tackle the root of the issue. I'm now fairly certain that what I... (more)

Hello! I'm very confused about how to break the three day water fast I'm on. I've heard the more conventional idea that one should have only fruits/juices after a fast, as the digestive system starts to reboot. However, I've also heard that it... (more)

I just broke a three day water fast and my reccomendation would be to stay away from fruits for a few days or a week to avoid spiking your insulin, but stick to easily digestable steamed veggies with gracious amounts of grass fed butter. The... (more)

You may want to alter your IF to deal with this going on -- maybe longer days of fasts aren't for you (this is OK). Just break the fast early. Are you also eating a LC or VLC paleo diet? I'd suggest that your brain isn't keto-adapted. Consider... (more)

I don't really prepare for long fasts, I just eat normally up until I start the fast. An important part of the fast for me is to plan my meal coming off a longer fast. It gives me something to look forward to and keeps me from overindulging. (more)

If you aren't sure about long water-fasts, you should research and consider ADF (alternate day fasting.) I was losing the battle against stress and both my bg and bp had become elevated. I considered a long water-fast but decided against... (more)
