Apart from what's been mentionted, salt in the marinade might dry things out and adversely affect the end product...

You do realize that if the cows are pastured and free range, there is a 100% chance that they are eating wheat and other grains/seeds of grasses when in season, right? Advice: stop worrying about this so much.

After a short trip to FLorida I definitely noticed a difference between the grass fed beef in the southeast compared to the southwest, perhaps its all the rainfall and green grass in the Southeast? Regardless Id like to continue to get it from... (more)

I can't find 100% grass fed cows' milk in or around Charlotte NC. I can't even find any store that will special order it. Not Whole Foods and not Earth Fare. Any suggestions? Thank you.

I went grocery shopping at whole foods today for grass fed and finished beef. I couldn't find anything that said specifically "grass-fed" in the meat section. All I found was vegatarian diet. Is this the same?

Check out the websites for Tesco and any other supermarkets close to you. Our local is a Waitrose and their website is really informative about how all their meat is sourced and raised.

Pigs are omnivores, they'll eat just about anything. Ask him if the grain is non-GMO, which is about as important in a pig as grass-feeding a cow.

I gurantee you can find it cheaper. In Canada I search on kijij. I buy grassfed beef from cows who drink in the stream and are raised 100% on pasture for 3.25-3.50/lb. I actually save a lot of money even compared to cafo beef. I can get pasture... (more)
