I average around a 100 oz for a woman of 5'8 and 150 lbs. I usually have not thirst, but dry mouth most of the time.

Today, I tried eating more fat and the craving for water went away.

Does this happen to anyone else?
http://paleohacks.com/questions/106975/is-there-a-relationship-between-fat-cravings-and-thirst/107004#107004 Answer by Jess for Is there a relationship between fat cravings and thirst? And protein makes me ULTRA thirsty.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/106975/is-there-a-relationship-between-fat-cravings-and-thirst/110367#110367 Answer by e.istre91 for Is there a relationship between fat cravings and thirst? e.istre91 2012-04-07T03:42:04Z 2012-04-07T03:42:04Z
I would say you are "more than likely" drinking too much water and are probably still dehydrated given that you experience a dry mouth. Do you also experience a dry nose, or dry eyes?

There are two main factors in dehydration:

Amount of water

Water retention, which is affected by electrolytes.

How often are you going to the bathroom? And what color is your urine? I'd say if you are going >5 times a day and your urine is clear, you are still dehydrated. Dial back the water intake to around 60-75 oz, add some sea salt to it, or add more salt to your food to improve retention. Mix and match.
