As anyone who follows Paleo/Primal/PHD knows, eating out is tough. You can always count it as your cheat meal but cheat meals can affect how you feel and I want to feel as good as possible.

So, where do you eat and what do you order that does not make you regret it afterwards (or only a little)?

For me, even the old burger without a bun affects me. It may be the quality or cross contamination but I've found I'm better off avoiding this option.

The best options I've found:

Chipoltle: Carnita Bowl (No soy) then add in ingredients depending on how I feel (everything except the lettuce, guacamole, and tomato mix has soy).

Pho: These I've discovered recently and they have been a lifesaver. There is usually some Pho place around and if you can handle rice they are a GREAT option. For those who do not know, Pho is Vietnamese soup made from real bone broth with your choice of meat, various veggies and rice noodles.

Where do you go?

I'm a big fan of burgers without the bun, the Jimmy John's Unwich (though if you are gluten sensitive, I would think just walking in there would kill you), Korean BBQ is fantastic, just avoid the rice but there's a lot of soy used, and lately I've been frequenting Puerto Rican and South American restaurants which are very Paleo friendly if you're not trying to be VLC or LC.

Their Chopped Chicken Cobb is the only option. I don't have allergies, I'm doing this to eat healthier, so I am not sure if there are hidden ingredients or not.
I have also gone to Plan B (fancy burger joint claiming grass fed beef) and I get the burger in the grass with bacon and guac.

I often get a salad w meat on it. I like vietnamese food--grilled meat, wrapped in lettuce with pickled veggies and cilantro. I eat sushi (rice seems ok with me, though I know the soy sauce is probably not great). Lots of grilled meat/fish w veggies, too.

You can get a plate of brisket, sauce on the side, skip the fries (which are likely fried in veg. oil) and the slice of bread, and use your own discretion on the pickle. (this is BBQ served Kansas City style, btw - YMMV).

I've done Chiptole in the past, although the last two times I ate there I ended up with a sour gut, so I've shelved them for now.

I tend to steer co-workers toward BBQ joints if we go out to lunch.

Burgers w/out bun are a standby most places. Most of the nicer places even have avocado/guac and bacon you can dress your burger with.

I also LOVE pho, and get it without noodles... a bowl of broth, meat, and offal (tendon and tripe), it's very good and since I normally go without eating for lunch, it's a nice nutrition boost without weighing me down or making me sluggish in the late afternoon.

And I also like Indian and Thai curry, I'll request steamed veggies instead of rice when available, or just sup it with a spoon without.

If you do dairy, the cheese is 6-month age unprocessed cheddar. If you do potatoes, their fries are cooked in olive oil.

So eating out is pretty easy. I tend to not order things like pasta or sandwiches, because I simply no longer enjoy them, not because they cause negative effects. Exceptions are made: I will eat a good hamburger with a bun. I will eat french fries fried in who-knows-what hydrogenated-crap. Mmmmm... 5 Guys burgers... Why? Because one meal out of 1000s in a year and 10000s in your lifetime has really little effect.

Example: Fish, meat restaurants, or best London restaurant,... It allows for easily finding out all restaurants near your place or view details of a restaurant with telephone, location, photos, description and reviews from internet community about that restaurant.
