Paleo Teeth Whitening?

Hi, I would like to have whiter teeth. Even though I do not drink tea or coffee, I have stains, not sure from what, maybe from beets or carrots. On top of it, my teeth are very sensitive and I cannot use any whitening products.

Things I have tried:

baking soda
strawberries
oil pulling

Nothing works. I was thinking of getting a twig.

At one point in the video, the lady says "I chew on it until it is as soft as a toothbrush." I took that reference to mean that the twig is meant to work like as toothbrush. I would think that they would much rather have a toothbrush than a twig. Maybe it's my modern/US bias, but I would think that a toothbrush would be much more effective.

If you like the thought of it because it's "more paleo", perhaps it'd be worth trying. I'm not that much of a re-creationist.

One thing I've always wondered is if white teeth are natural? I've been brushing with a coconut oil/baking soda mixture that is creamy-like for about six months now. I've been eating paleo, but with possibly too much fruit and definitely too much fast food. I don't think I have any cavities though. :) I'm going into the dentist for a check-up soon, and if there aren't any cavities, I'm going to continue for another six months and see what happens.

I've been following this guy for a while, and he puts out GREAT videos. I haven't personally tried this because I don't really care about the color of my teeth, but give it a shot if you're interested.

If your teeth are sensitive, you may want to consider using xylitol which is known to help mineralize teeth.

"eff paleo" -- I like my teeth whiter and use whitening gel. They do make your teeth scream depending on how sensitive they are and/or the strength. But use lower strength and use enamel building product or xylitol before AND after and it should be minor discomfort.

Also max strength toothpaste for sensitive teeth is an option to consider too.

More offal, more grassfed ghee, cod liver oil, bone broths, fish eggs, and shellfish... dont throw out the green "tomalley"(the digestive gland) or in a female lobster, red "coral" or "roe" (the unfertilized eggs.)

No magic toothpaste will save your teeth. :-) Remineralized teeth will look whiter and less translucent.
