My hair came out in clumps, bad sweats day and night, vaginal dryness, zero libido. Before my baby I had been on the pill for 12 straight years bc of irregular periods. We had no problems conceiving.

At about the 9 month mark I was still having vaginal dryness and zero libido so my OBGYN put me on Premarin to just get things back on track. He also wanted me to get back on the pill. I took the cream and enjoyed its benefits so much that my husband and I decided we better go back on the pill. We did that for 3 months and decided we wanted to try for another baby. So I went off the pill.

In late March I went Paleo and broke my sugar habit cold turkey. It was hard but I immediately started losing weight (10 lbs of fat) and had great muscle and strength gains. I was working out about 45 mins 5x a week either weights or cardio. Libido and cycle were back to normal.

At mid April suddenly I had a 19 day straight regular to heavy flow period. 10 days later I had a regular to heavy flow 15 day period. I got terrible headaches and quickly fell off both e Paleo and working out wagon. Since the end of that 2nd long period, my hair is back to coming out in clumps, I will burst into a sweat day or night, I have zero libido and painful vaginal dryness still to today.

It's all my symptoms back again. I am 32 with 1 baby. I have always been overweight but I've also been a junk food eater who doesn't exercise. Could Paleo have negatively affected my hormones?

Can I continue to eat Paleo and take a hormone? I don't really know what to ask here but I know this isn't normal. I have a drs appt in a few weeks. Thanks in advance for any help.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/125324/estrogen-deficiency-question/125330#125330 Answer by Lyndsay for Estrogen deficiency question Lyndsay 2012-06-05T03:28:21Z 2012-06-05T03:28:21Z
The pill is evil. I bled constantly on the pill, and had other horrible side effects, like constant nausea, even on the lowest dose. We just use condoms and lube. The pill is not worth those side effects, for me.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/125324/estrogen-deficiency-question/125334#125334 Answer by Crowlover for Estrogen deficiency question Crowlover 2012-06-05T03:40:40Z 2012-06-05T03:40:40Z
Please find a doctor who does Bio-identical hormone balancing.
