I feel that very recently, I've started to see the dining options where I live (Seattle) growing more paleo friendly. More chefs are cooking with paleo-approved fats (or receptive to cooking with tallow and olive/avocado/coconut oil when asked), grass-fed meats abound, and there's even a Kickstarter campaign for Seattle's first paleo food truck (I'm a backer!). I was just wondering if any other hackers have noticed similar food climate changes in their area, or if it's just here in the super-health-conscious PNW?

We do have a Natural Grocers here now that carries local grass fed meat. The closest thing we have to a place to eat out and stay paleo would be Chipotle Grill.

I'm only listing the ones I would recommend. There are lots more that offer locally-grown food.

Joe's Diner, a great localvore's hangout, even sells copies of one of Joel Salatin's books.

Jambo, an Afro-Carribean oasis in a strip mall has local free-range organic jerk chicken to die for--that is if you survive the deadly delicious fried plantains!

Tune-Up Café offers up grass-fed steak and more.

And my fave hang-out with gluten-free treats is the Aztec.

He interviews 2 truck owners and they discuss the growing movement.

Definitely seeing more and more places where I don't have to google their menu before approaching so I know I can eat. They're adding farm fresh ingredients and moving away from the carb based menus. Have you tried Graces 5 in Redmond yet?
