<p>I read that article on MDA also and while intrigued I'm not willing to go through that amount. of effort. However, I was in my local asian grocery the other day and found a product called pork skin noodles. They were precooked then dried noodles made out of pork skin there were about four ingredients (pork skin,and alum for sure maybe salt and after that I'm just guessing) and minimal packaging. And they are delicious and made a fantastic broth and were soft and noodley. They cost about $1.50. warning they dissolve quite a bit if cooked too long.</p>

<p>The picture you choose is very unappetizing. Dry, raw fat. Bleh. In the dishes on the site, they look at least edible. I probably wouldn't eat them in place of noodles, but rather in addition to some tasty rice (or wheat <em>gasp</em>) noodles. </p>
