For me, it was cheese and pizza (which of course has cheese). I honestly don't miss the rest much (unless I'm sitting next to someone who has a steaming, decadent looking bread roll) Otherwise, I am happy with the food we eat.

What was the most difficult for you to rid from your lifestyle (not to say you don't indulge in an "open" meal for it sometimes)

I don't miss any other kind of bread or sandwiches, really, and I still eat Reubens breadless or as a lettuce wrap. Unfortunately, a smoked gouda, gruyere, and sharp cheddar grilled cheese with a pimiento or saffron aioli without bread is just melted cheese with a little sauce. (BTW I am lucky enough to be lactose tolerant, so I'm Primal, not Paleo).

I found I would get busy and end up eating a bag of chips (family size) with salsa and sour cream in lieu of dinner and that was really making me fat and bloated and messing with the digestion. I just got laid up with a medical problem and in the grips of oxycodone was all what the hell, I'm sick, and got a bag of Dorito's as comfort food. It actually took me 3 days to finish the bag so I'm aware of my behaviour modification. My favorite restaurant is Mexican, and I can still eat there, I just forego the chips, tortillas, rice, cream based salsas and there is still plenty to eat and the chef will indulge my substitutions, ie jicama salad for rice and beans. I do indulge in the margaritas they serve knowing that the mix is 100% lime juice and agave nectar knowing that the agave is problematic, but I'm definitely an 80/20 guy and I'm getting results.

But really, I can have any of these things, as long as I keep them small and infrequent, so there are no noticeable side effects. I don't mind some cheats. I guess I'm kind of working on the 80/20 method, or 90/10. I still feel really good. Could lose 10 more lbs, but I don't care enough about it, apparently.

For me, the list is endless. Eggplant parmesan, pb&j, waffles, bagels with cream cheese, pizza, nachos. And oddly, most of all, oatmeal. I'm doing a whole 30 right now and at no point do I stop thinking about these foods. I already planned my post Whole 30 day of eating and will then integrate cheat meals (both meals will be in moderation, no 5 desserts just because it's a cheat meal) twice a week (one cheat dinner and one cheat brunch).

And so, I ultimately didn't! I gave it up for a few months, but honestly it just made me eat more- I can't tolerate much fruit/starches, any dairy, or still too many nuts and any chocolate, so it just made me insane. I'd end up eating like 3 pounds of meat just out of post-meal dissatisfaction. So I recently started adding a couple daily tablespoons of sugar in my coffee and after-dinner tea, and honestly it makes it way easier for me to maintain mild calorie restriction and satiation.
