Veronica 2012-07-19T23:38:18Z 2012-08-03T15:22:01Z
So I´ve been reading a lot about how good sauerkraut is and I have even started making my own. Now the good thing is I really like it... but my question is, can you eat too much of it, so that it would end up having a negative effect instead? How much per day would be a recommended amount?

Thanks!
http://paleohacks.com/questions/136734/can-you-eat-too-much-sauerkraut/136739#136739 Answer by LastingOne for Can you eat too much sauerkraut? Whatever you can consume is probably just enough :)
http://paleohacks.com/questions/136734/can-you-eat-too-much-sauerkraut/136900#136900 Answer by HumanPrimate for Can you eat too much sauerkraut? It takes time, according to her, to develop the ability to consume large amounts of probiotic bacteria. However, the period of time for each person varies. Some of her patients have taken a few weeks others a few months. I feel that her position on this may be true considering my experiences with large amounts in one sitting that lead to gas and bloating. I've never felt any painful or otherwise deleterious effects but my wife did! ;-)
