For those of you with auto-antibodies, what have you changed in your lifestyle since going Paleo? What has worked and what hasn't? Did you try eliminating nuts and eggs as suggested and did that help? Have you improved or eliminated them and which ones are they? Anything else you can think to mention.

For me, I haven't eliminated nuts and eggs but never ate much of them either. Since going Paleo 6mo, my auto-antibodies (anti VGKC, GAD65, SS-B, and IgA-ttg) have decreased (25-50% last labs a year ago).

Mom has autoimmune thrombocytopenia (VERY low platelet counts) ... I wonder if the autoimmune protocol would help...

BUT, she does sometimes have joint pain and has noticed that less peppers = less pain, whaddaya know

I thought so too but some of the rheumatologists don't think so and believe it's insignificant.

One thing I'm curious about: If your Ab levels have gone down, have they been going down steadily or stabilized at some lower level. Also, have you tracked your WBC, platelet and leukocyte counts? They seem to go down steadily in people who suffer from autoimmune diseases, perhaps not out of the range but at the low-normal range. For example, my WBC has fallen steadily from like 7.5 to about 4.0 in 2 years.

I'm curious if those numbers went up while your antibody levels came down while on an autoimmune Paleo diet.
