Internal can shift to an external if it continues, but I wouldn't say they'll just 'go away'. You need to adjust your diet to facilitate the reduction of the hemmorhoid and the 'way' you use the bathroom. Even then, they kinda just shrivel into a hard tissue instead of being a bubble and can still be a threat to inflame at any time.

Your best luck is to have them removed if after you reduce the swelling and they repeatedly return.

http://paleohacks.com/questions/139548/do-hemorrhoids-go-away-on-their-own/139556#139556Answer by Nemesis for Do hemorrhoids go away on their own?Nemesis2012-07-31T12:53:05Z2012-07-31T12:53:05Z
Depends on how bad they are. Are they internal or external? External ones are easier to treat, as they tend to be relieved by frequent sitz baths, alternating hot and cold compresses, and squatting (not sitting) on the loo for a BM. Also, blasting your bum with water instead of wiping can also aid in the healing process.

Internal ones are trickier since you can't see any progress being made. They're grouped into four "types": The first and second ones are up inside your colon. The third type is where they're starting to poke out of your anus but can be pushed back in, and the fourth is where they're hanging out all the time. Third and fourth tend to need outpatient surgery to fix, but that carries its own set of risks.

You sure you don't have fissures? They're quite common (I have them) and can be painful when re-opened and bleed after having a hard stool. They can also develop skin tags around the anus from the buildup of scar tissue.

Make sure you're drinking enough fluids throughout the day, getting enough variety of fiber (soluble, insoluble and resistant starch), and take probiotics to build up beneficial gut bacteria. Also, insufficient magnesium intake can lead to constipation, and mag also aids in smooth muscle function & health (in this instance, your entire digestive tract).

For short term relief ice etc worked but getting into compound weight lifting movements helped build pelvic floor and core that stopped my guts from putting pressure on that area. It did make it worse at first for a few weeks but I stuck with it and they're 100% gone.

The only way to get rid of them completely is to get them banded. However, after I had my daughter, I had them bad. I found a cottonbal soaked in Witch Hazel applied to the area while I slept worked better than any commercial product, with no insertion requires.

Make sure you drink lots of water and eat properly. Also, you might want to use water after a bowel movement, as excessive wiping can make them worse.

http://paleohacks.com/questions/139548/do-hemorrhoids-go-away-on-their-own/139570#139570Answer by BoneBrothFast for Do hemorrhoids go away on their own?BoneBrothFast2012-07-31T15:30:05Z2012-07-31T15:30:05Z
NEVER wipe with dry toilet paper. Always wet it first or get some of those baby wipes.

I've made several of mine recede and the best thing I found are sitz baths with ACV+Epsom salts+sea salt. I've found that drying them out is the best course of action. Also I decreased my dairy and meat consumption during this time and upped my fiber intake. Spicy food is a no go until you get your hemorrhoids under control. I also applied B5 and hydrocortisone cream on the area regularly to promote healing. Prior to that, I applied well-fermented raw yogurt. The lactic acid in the yogurt is extremely soothing to the area and kept the skin there balanced. I would wash the area regularly with ACV (it stings a LOT, but only for a few seconds.) From what I've read, there's a link between candida and hemorrhoids and when people take steps to get candida in order, their hehmorrhoids improve. ACV can "supposedly" kill topical candida albicans. I assume this would include the C. Albicans in and around your anus.

I've heard that a kefir/yogurt enema can be very helpful for hemorrhoids.

This is kind of grotesque, but I felt a few external ones that were "dry." I ripped these off and it didn't really hurt much, but it did bleed. They haven't come back.

Because you're even asking this question, I'd bet things have already gotten somewhat bad. Acute hemorrhoid flare ups will generally always go away. Chronic hemorrhoids are another matter entirely. If you're already in that zone, you may already be familiar with the 'joy' of anal fissures.

All the answers in this thread so far, regarding relief from pain as well as avoiding reoccurrence, are valid. However if issues in/on your rectum/anus have progressed to the point where it's interfering with your life, you are going to want to see a colon/rectal specialist and have it addressed.

Sometimes taking an aggressive step like surgery, coupled with taking it easy to heal thoroughly, can help put you on the road to recovery. Hopefully, you will have learned some destressing techniques, too. ;-)

FWIW, I had horrible internal hemorrhoids (going from bad to worse over the course of 4 years). I had a hemorrhoidopexy (google it) late last year; two weeks of the worst pain of my life, but frankly: it was worth it. For those years as my issues grew worse, I slowly stopped exercising (for pain/comfort reasons) and became a heavy drinker (sitting and self medicating, pretty much), and that did not do my body well. I also was a strict, lacto-ovo vegetarian for 6-7 years before 4 years ago. I sincerely believe that grains and the massive amounts of fiber -- and high, chronic stress -- where at the root of my issues. So, I hear you on this -- I really do.

Go see a doctor. External and internal ones are treated differently, with different recovery times, but I suggest being aggressive, taking care of the issue quickly, and enjoying the rest of your healthy, long life.

If you are a hemorrhoid sufferer, take stool softeners or laxatives on a regular basis. If forceful effort is required for your bowel movements, then you’re giving yourself more pain than you need and might even be opening the door to more issues

I started eating paleo / primal 3 years ago and they reduced. Then I started adding K2 mk 4 + 7, vitamin D, fermented cod liver oil, zinc occasionally, and adding epsom salts to my bath water and soaking in it. I don't know what it is but they have vanished totally. And I'm 60 now so I consider it a real blessing to have been 2 years free of the things!!

You should exercise regularly, increase your fiber intake and drink plenty of water. When going for surgery I've read that the THD method is supposed to be quite good and less invasive and painful than other ones. Best of luck!

Internal hemorrhoids may prolapse to external hemorrhoids and even thrombosed hemorrhoids. My advise is to takecare when you can, change your diet completely. Add a lot of fiber to your food daily. Drink a lot of water daily, which will helps to make your stool softer. If you are already seeing a bulge out of your hemorrhoids, use aloevera gel to reduce the bulge. Once you practice the above things, i am sure you can get rid of hemorrhoids for sure.
