Up at 3am for a 4:30am opening shift at Starbucks, home at noon for a quick nap, then 3pm-9pm at my other job (tutoring). I went through 2-3 of these a day: quick, more portable than a cup of coffee, easy to eat even while bike commuting, and they pep you right up. Also much cheaper per mint than coffee.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/140796/sleep-deprivation/140805#140805 Answer by aseafish for Sleep deprivation aseafish 2012-08-05T13:27:39Z 2012-08-05T13:27:39Z
Meditation is my most effective defense. I do TM, though other forms of meditation are certainly helpful.

A drop or two of peppermint essential oil also does wonders. On top of that, do all you can to eat healthy whole foods and drink lots of water.

Good luck.
