I don't have a lot of space, and it needs to be something that can be okay in a desk for at least a week, though I'd prefer longer. I am really easily distracted, so it is hard for me to remember to grab a snack or two each morning to have at work, so it is not ideal to have to remember to bring something each day.

Even pre-paleo, I have always stashed some nuts in my desk for snacking, like pistachios, almonds, etc. However, I also had lots of other things, like crackers, hard candy, granola bars. Right now, the only thing I have are some nuts, and I get really tired of eating those every time I am hungry before or after lunch...

I'd love some suggestions! I try to remember to grab a banana or something else every morning, but as I said, I often forget, or I will eat it, and then want something else later.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/142709/snacks-to-store-in-my-desk-at-work/142712#142712 Answer by Elunah for Snacks to store in my desk at work Elunah 2012-08-14T21:00:22Z 2012-08-14T21:00:22Z

Canned tuna/salmon

Canned pineapple

Seaweed snacks (SeaSnax brand)

Kale chips

Banana chips (don't go nuts!)

Beef jerky (check the ingredients)

Fruit (clementines, apples, berries, cherry tomatoes, etc.)

Protein powder (if you're into that)

Coconut products (shredded, oil, butter, etc.)

Almond butter

Dark chocolate (if you're into that)

Trail mix

Sweet potato chips

http://paleohacks.com/questions/142709/snacks-to-store-in-my-desk-at-work/142713#142713 Answer by Kellie for Snacks to store in my desk at work Kellie 2012-08-14T21:00:50Z 2012-08-14T21:00:50Z
lara bars are great - i have a few in my desk drawer now.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/142709/snacks-to-store-in-my-desk-at-work/142716#142716 Answer by aseafish for Snacks to store in my desk at work aseafish 2012-08-14T21:32:26Z 2012-08-14T21:32:26Z
Elunah's list is great. I really like to keep coconut oil and butter in my desk. Just a little is filling and feels a bit indulgent. It will last and last at room temp. I simply eat a spoonful or two. Small cans of tuna and salmon with pull tops are handy, too.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/142709/snacks-to-store-in-my-desk-at-work/142717#142717 Answer by kris for Snacks to store in my desk at work kris 2012-08-14T21:32:29Z 2012-08-14T21:32:29Z
Tanka Buffalo Bars- http://www.tankabar.com/cgi-bin/nanf/public/main.cvw
http://paleohacks.com/questions/142709/snacks-to-store-in-my-desk-at-work/142732#142732 Answer by Diane for Snacks to store in my desk at work Diane 2012-08-14T22:36:44Z 2012-08-14T22:36:44Z
Sweet potatoes. Just wrap in a paper towel and nuke for 3 minutes. If you have access to a fridge, keep a stick of butter in there.
