I need some suggestions of snacks I can store in my desk at work. I don't have a lot of space, and it needs to be something that can be okay in a desk for at least a week, though I'd prefer longer. I am really easily distracted, so it is hard for me to remember to grab a snack or two each morning to have at work, so it is not ideal to have to remember to bring something each day.

Even pre-paleo, I have always stashed some nuts in my desk for snacking, like pistachios, almonds, etc. However, I also had lots of other things, like crackers, hard candy, granola bars. Right now, the only thing I have are some nuts, and I get really tired of eating those every time I am hungry before or after lunch...

I'd love some suggestions! I try to remember to grab a banana or something else every morning, but as I said, I often forget, or I will eat it, and then want something else later.

I really like to keep coconut oil and butter in my desk. Just a little is filling and feels a bit indulgent. It will last and last at room temp. I simply eat a spoonful or two. Small cans of tuna and salmon with pull tops are handy, too.

Just wrap in a paper towel and nuke for 3 minutes. If you have access to a fridge, keep a stick of butter in there.
