Apparently they don't see the bones as anything useful. So does anyone have any idea where to get the bones from in the UK?
http://paleohacks.com/questions/143622/where-do-you-get-bone-broth-from-in-the-uk/143625#143625 Answer by Carl D for Where do you get bone broth from in the UK Carl D 2012-08-18T08:17:46Z 2012-08-18T08:17:46Z
There are many sites in the UK now selling organic meat for delivery. The best ones also do bones, fat trimmings, liver etc. It's not actually that expensive either, once you're eating paleo and therefore eating less.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/143622/where-do-you-get-bone-broth-from-in-the-uk/143628#143628 Answer by julianne for Where do you get bone broth from in the UK julianne 2012-08-18T08:37:17Z 2012-08-18T08:37:17Z
I'm not in the UK, but NZ, and the butcher has a bag of dog bones, in their meat for pets section - I buy them and use them for broth
http://paleohacks.com/questions/143622/where-do-you-get-bone-broth-from-in-the-uk/143629#143629 Answer by Jean for Where do you get bone broth from in the UK Jean 2012-08-18T08:41:37Z 2012-08-18T08:41:37Z
All the butchers in our town will give you bones if you ask. In return I give him some of the bone broth. It's a fair exchange and no money involved.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/143622/where-do-you-get-bone-broth-from-in-the-uk/143676#143676 Answer by Crabbycakes for Where do you get bone broth from in the UK Crabbycakes 2012-08-18T15:24:36Z 2012-08-18T15:24:36Z
They might not have them on demand, but if you ask they might be able to save some for a pick up later in the day. Most butchers do a lot of their cutting early in the day and toss stuff as they work if it isn't needed.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/143622/where-do-you-get-bone-broth-from-in-the-uk/143711#143711 Answer by David Moss for Where do you get bone broth from in the UK David Moss 2012-08-18T18:04:32Z 2012-08-18T18:04:32Z
Aside from looking around more butchers until you find one that does stock bones, you can build up a reasonable stock of bones by cooking joints repeatedly and saving the bones from them. Also, my local Morrisons sells bones, but for a fairly ridiculous price (given that my old butcher would give them to me for free).
http://paleohacks.com/questions/143622/where-do-you-get-bone-broth-from-in-the-uk/150780#150780 Answer by lilliputty for Where do you get bone broth from in the UK lilliputty 2012-09-20T14:07:22Z 2012-09-20T14:07:22Z
Abel and Cole now sell beef bones and chicken carcasses for a few pounds.

I usually get mine from the farmer's market - if I call ahead they will bring me anything from chicken carcasses to pigs trotters, and usually it's either free or something ridiculous like £1 for a huge bag.

Make friends with your butcher or farmer!
http://paleohacks.com/questions/143622/where-do-you-get-bone-broth-from-in-the-uk/153696#153696 Answer by Wayne daniels for Where do you get bone broth from in the UK Wayne daniels 2012-10-04T18:45:13Z 2012-10-04T18:45:13Z
Just save the bones from meat you already cooked
http://paleohacks.com/questions/143622/where-do-you-get-bone-broth-from-in-the-uk/156607#156607 Answer by Eve for Where do you get bone broth from in the UK Eve 2012-10-18T19:54:58Z 2012-10-18T19:54:58Z
I ordered on and Tuesday just got a delivery today (Thursday) of wild venison burgers, organic bacon and a kg of beef bones from Abel and Cole - check out their website its great! The beef bones were £1.50 but I had to spend at least a tenner and since I'd be buying meat anyway it wasn't a problem. This weekend will be BONE BROTH TIME!

Word of warning - the wild venison burgers contain breadcrumbs and gluten - boooo! I ate them anyway but I won't be ordering them again.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/143622/where-do-you-get-bone-broth-from-in-the-uk/156666#156666 Answer by GrassyArse for Where do you get bone broth from in the UK GrassyArse 2012-10-19T00:03:08Z 2012-10-19T00:03:08Z
I've been getting bones from my local butcher here (South West UK). It's all grass-fed meat. So far they've been free, but I live very close and buy all my meat from them despite the high prices, so perhaps that's why.

I've been making tons of bone broth. It is absolutely gorgeous in basically any savoury recipe that requires liquid.
