PH is Perfect Health based on a book called The Perfect Health Diet by Paul Jaminet.

Not sure what CVD is.

What exactly is SAD? I thought I'd read that it was a calorie restricted diet, but other times people seem to refer to it as (more or less) the average american diet...

WAP = Weston A. Price (traditional foods)

LOD = Low oxalate Diet

You might also see GCBC, short for the book Good Calories, Bad Calories, by Gary Taubes.

CW - conventional wisdom (sometimes seen here, but mostly from www.marksdailyapple.com) -- meaning the usual story we've heard for many years regarding both "healthy diets" and mainstream modern medicine.

PUFA - polyunsaturated fatty acids (Unsaturated fats found in all types of fats and oils, but most heavily in things like soybean, corn, cottonseed, and safflower oils. They're also found in fish, nuts, and other sources. We usually talk about them in a negative way, but we do need at least some PUFA in our diet. It's just that whole food sources are best, rather than cooking in soy or canola oil, and you don't want very much of it overall.)

SCD = Specific carbohydrate diet BED = Body Ecology diet PHD = Perfect Health Diet (for what it's worth, this has been best for me...)
