Matt 2012-09-09T06:38:30Z 2012-09-09T15:14:06Z
As I understand it, the main crossfit website is for the advanced. So does anyone know any crossfit affiliate sites that really know what they're doing that I could follow?

I have previous experience in the gym and just want to try this outside of a crossfit gym first.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/148101/good-crossfit-affiliate-site-to-follow/148135#148135 Answer by Allie for Good Crossfit affiliate site to follow? Allie 2012-09-09T12:36:04Z 2012-09-09T12:36:04Z
The crossfit mainsite has scaled workouts. Go to the "Start Here" part of the website. Under that you'll see something about "Scaled Workouts." Click on That and it will bring you to a forum where they modify the wod for different levels of ability.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/148101/good-crossfit-affiliate-site-to-follow/148156#148156 Answer by miked for Good Crossfit affiliate site to follow? miked 2012-09-09T15:14:06Z 2012-09-09T15:14:06Z
The mainsite is not for the advanced; it's just dumb. They do a one-size-fits all approach that is totally random (no programming) and centers on the long chipper hero workouts which are too much for anyone, even the advanced people.

I recommend sites that actually to periodized programming with an emphasis on strength.

www.flatironscrossfit.com (my gym)

www.frontrangecrossfit.com (the gym that always kicks our ass in competions)

Also sites like

www.crossfitfootball.com (maybe a little too strength based for me, but their mission is different)

www.calalystathletics.com (oly focused, but still good).
