I'm Asian so it's not hard to find white rice, but I don't like how plain and bland it is.

I don't like it plain, but I've tried it cooked in a broth/soup from chicken bones, red dates, goji berries and Chinese medicinal herbs, and it's not bad. Cooked in coconut milk, it's also really nice and rich and coconutty.

If you include white rice in your diet, how do you prep it to make it taste not so plain?
http://paleohacks.com/questions/151252/cooking-white-rice/151255#151255 Answer by whoreball for Cooking white rice whoreball 2012-09-22T09:07:55Z 2012-09-22T09:07:55Z
Just make a curry and pour it on top of the rice.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/151252/cooking-white-rice/151290#151290 Answer by MiMintzer for Cooking white rice MiMintzer 2012-09-22T14:59:03Z 2012-09-22T14:59:03Z
Milk (or coconut milk), raisins, and cinnamon.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/151252/cooking-white-rice/151291#151291 Answer by Spears for Cooking white rice Spears 2012-09-22T15:11:07Z 2012-09-22T15:11:07Z
I eat white rice mainly for bodybuilding goals but my fat macro targets are high. My quick method for making it tasty and calorific is to add in around 4 oz of fried lamb or beef mince and usually 1 oz of grass-fed butter. I'll often fry an onion up with the mince.

I just had some rice for lunch with white fish and added a cream-based curry sauce.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/151252/cooking-white-rice/151302#151302 Answer by Kimmie for Cooking white rice Kimmie 2012-09-22T15:50:52Z 2012-09-22T15:50:52Z
My favorite way is to cook rice is in broth, to make it more nutrient dense. Then I toss it with lime juice, salt and pepper and mix in a full bunch of minced cilantro. Pile meat, avocado and salsa on top of the rice, with maybe a little cheese and/or soured cream if you do dairy. This is very similar to Chipoltle's cilantro-lime rice - SO good!
http://paleohacks.com/questions/151252/cooking-white-rice/151509#151509 Answer by Arwen for Cooking white rice Arwen 2012-09-24T00:01:16Z 2012-09-24T00:01:16Z
I make a sauce out of chicken broth, a tiny bit of orange marmalade (I know its not 100% paleo) soy sauce, garlic powder and ginger powder. I heat on the stove and sometimes use a thickening agent to make it less runny and pour it over my rice when its done. Its DELICIOUS. Sometimes I mix it with a little bit of fried pork.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/151252/cooking-white-rice/151512#151512 Answer by Satchmo for Cooking white rice Satchmo 2012-09-24T00:22:54Z 2012-09-24T00:22:54Z
It is easier just to not run.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/151252/cooking-white-rice/151520#151520 Answer by Mike T for Cooking white rice Mike T 2012-09-24T01:41:46Z 2012-09-24T01:41:46Z
Cook it normally (just water). Put a bunch on a plate, then pour beef stew on top of it.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/151252/cooking-white-rice/151546#151546 Answer by scottts for Cooking white rice scottts 2012-09-24T04:37:24Z 2012-09-24T04:37:24Z
1 cup cooked Trader Joes organic basmati rice in a fry pan on medium heat with 2 tbsp ghee, 4 eggs yolks, and 1/2 ounce beef liver lightly sautéed. This is really surprisingly good tasting. This forms the basis of my dinner meal. I add another protein as well. Salmon really makes this rock.
