I have had a butterfly rash for a couple of years now. It varies in tone but it is always there. I also have recently started experiencing red knuckles on my hands. When I hold my hands up in the air they generally change back to a normal colour. I am a young male in my 20's who is fairly active. I have been eating paleo but with cheat meals due to work and other situations I can't avoid ( I often breakout with acne after these meals). I don't really like supplements but I have recently started taking vitamin d and fish oil tablets.

Any suggestions that could help me?

Also I only use water on my face.

Thanks

I have Rosacea and while it has gotten better on an 80/20 paleo lifestyle, it is definitely still there. The usual suspects (sun, exertion, alcohol, spicy food etc.) will exacerbate the situation.

A very expensive series of laser treatments did not help.

I try to keep inflammatory factors low and take vitamin D, fish oil and zinc. But it doesn't keep me from enjoying a glass of wine or some time in the sun.

The first thing I would think of is lupus. You should be checked out by a doctor.

I am healthy ( well my blood tests say so) I guess I'll just continue self experimentation, living healthy and googling for answers or possible cures.
