No, I'm not pregnant.

Anyway, the problem is that I have issues with both eggs and casein, so eggs are out. This leaves me with vegan fare, and all the paleo stuff is inadequate in protein. I know some people are good with edamame, but I can't eat that more than maybe twice a week as I have a mild allergy to it too.

Yes, it sucks to be me. :D

I'm eating some meat, but nowhere near as much. So, what vegetables actually have the most protein? What nuts are highest in protein? I believe it's peanuts, but they aren't a nut!

Any clever ideas for a probably temporary meat aversion?
http://paleohacks.com/questions/151281/weird-aversion-to-meat/151285#151285 Answer by arugula for Weird Aversion to Meat arugula 2012-09-22T14:25:57Z 2012-09-22T14:25:57Z
Zinc deficiency can cause taste abnormalities.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/151281/weird-aversion-to-meat/151292#151292 Answer by crightfunnylol for Weird Aversion to Meat crightfunnylol 2012-09-22T15:16:40Z 2012-09-22T15:16:40Z
kale, brocoli, spinach... and i belive hemp seeds and quinoa are high in protein(both seeds) nuts arent very high in protein i hope this helps
http://paleohacks.com/questions/151281/weird-aversion-to-meat/151294#151294 Answer by aseafish for Weird Aversion to Meat aseafish 2012-09-22T15:21:57Z 2012-09-22T15:21:57Z
How long has this been going on? If it's short-lived, you won't need to worry so much about protein sources. Have you tried more fish or meats you don't usually eat? I know sometimes I get tired of meats I've always loved, possibly due to eating them so often. Good luck.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/151281/weird-aversion-to-meat/151310#151310 Answer by Matt for Weird Aversion to Meat Matt 2012-09-22T16:35:12Z 2012-09-22T16:35:12Z
I'd be very surprised if you're deficient in protein. Most folks, even vegan folks, aren't.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/151281/weird-aversion-to-meat/151319#151319 Answer by ilovepaleo for Weird Aversion to Meat ilovepaleo 2012-09-22T17:35:54Z 2012-09-22T17:35:54Z
What about fish? Sometimes I prefer a lighter fish as opposed to eating tons of red meat. Make it with a nice paleo pesto sauce with olive oil, garlic, basic, etc
http://paleohacks.com/questions/151281/weird-aversion-to-meat/188399#188399 Answer by Limey for Weird Aversion to Meat Limey 2013-03-29T16:28:20Z 2013-03-29T16:28:20Z
Have you tried plainer, less, or differently seasoned meat? I find it easier to eat meat everyday if it's completely unseasoned. It feels more natural and is better tasting, to me at least. :)
