Will anyone be incorporating the Paleo Bread (Almond or Coconut) into their diet?

Curious how much this will an acceptable substitute..

In general I am against it for three reasons:

1) I cannot trust Julian's Bakery after what happened with their smart carb bread: http://decodedscience.com/nutritional-labeling-fda-oversight-not-what-youd-expect/15446

2) I feel that, in general, Paleo baking is a gateway and I prefer stay away

3) The cost is absurd -- $8 for 14 slices of bread? I'd rather drop $8 on a side of bacon, or 4 dozen eggs, or any of a hundred other things that bring me more pleasure than a slice of dry grainy bread (note I have not had it, this is what my coworker says)

I also view Paleo baking as a gateway that can get out of hand. However, there are some things that many of us have a deep emotional connection too. I used to love tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich which is not exactly paleo. My wife made a loaf of coconut bread and using some panchetta, prosciutto, and a nice cheddar made a phenomenal "grilled cheese sandwich" to go along with the tomato soup. While not the strictest adherence to a primal diet, an occasional treat (especially one made this way) is not going to kill you. On a side note, that's pretty spendy for bread when it can be baked at home fairly easily.

At all. And by "not particularly tasty", I mean it was really bad to the point of being inedible. Sh*tty bread is not better than no bread.

And I give you this:

I can't imagine it tasting very good either, or satisfying one in the same way that a starchy piece of bread would. In fact, I'd probably end up eating the whole loaf and then feeling like I just wasted my money. I would not make the purchase.

There are way better "paleo bread" recipes freely available on the web, and you can make them yourself for much cheaper.
