Are there actual scientific studies backing up all of their claims? Scientific studies against what they're saying?? Is there any actual truth when it comes to sugar and it's effects on health?? I'm very confused right now, and I don't know what to believe.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/154583/sugar-is-the-info-on-this-site-correct/154584#154584 Answer by Sarah-Mae for SUGAR ~ is the info on this site correct Sarah-Mae 2012-10-09T22:07:03Z 2012-10-09T22:07:03Z
I nearly choked on my chicken thigh when I read "No, sugar intake is not linked to the development of diabetes"...
http://paleohacks.com/questions/154583/sugar-is-the-info-on-this-site-correct/154591#154591 Answer by Miriam for SUGAR ~ is the info on this site correct Miriam 2012-10-09T22:25:47Z 2012-10-09T22:25:47Z
One need only check the "about us" page.

"CSI is funded by Canadian producers of refined cane and beet sugar. CSI member companies include Lantic Inc. (Lantic Sugar and Rogers Sugar) and Redpath Sugar Ltd.

The Institute is directed by an elected Board of Directors, including the CSI President and representatives from each of the CSI member companies. The staff manage the routine affairs of the Institute and regularly report to the Board."

The page is funded by the very people who produce sugar, so why would they say anything bad about it? Don't trust pages like this to have accurate information. It will be biased at best and outright fabrication at worst.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/154583/sugar-is-the-info-on-this-site-correct/154592#154592 Answer by borofergie for SUGAR ~ is the info on this site correct borofergie 2012-10-09T22:26:32Z 2012-10-09T22:26:32Z
Are you taking the piss? Who in their right mind would go to the website of an industry lobby group to find out scientific facts about a potentially harmful foodstuff.

What next?
