I was under the impression it was pure butter.

I have read various articles that say to stay away from those oils. However as I understand it one of the benefits of Kerrygold is the Omega 3:6 ratio. Is the rapeseed oil how they accomplish it? The added rapeseed oil does not seem right to me. Thanks.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/157259/kerry-gold-butter-in-germany/157262#157262 Answer by Bambis for Kerry Gold butter in germany Bambis 2012-10-22T11:34:06Z 2012-10-22T11:34:06Z
Does it say "soft" on the packet???
http://paleohacks.com/questions/157259/kerry-gold-butter-in-germany/157271#157271 Answer by Robin for Kerry Gold butter in germany Robin 2012-10-22T11:58:03Z 2012-10-22T11:58:03Z
I don't think they export that version to the US; I've only seen the pure butter here. It's supposed to have a better 3:6 ratio because supposedly the cows are grass-fed, although they do not put that on the package, unlike some other brands.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/157259/kerry-gold-butter-in-germany/157314#157314 Answer by Karin for Kerry Gold butter in germany Karin 2012-10-22T14:24:01Z 2012-10-22T14:24:01Z
Kerrygold is popular in the states because so much of our dairy is factory farmed...grass fed is the key as well as as making sure its just butter and nothing added to it. I would look for a German brand, grass fed, anything local? But don't use that particular one, not with rapeseed...that would make it everything you DON'T want in your butter. Heck, it's not even butter!
http://paleohacks.com/questions/157259/kerry-gold-butter-in-germany/157338#157338 Answer by Janknitz for Kerry Gold butter in germany Janknitz 2012-10-22T16:50:59Z 2012-10-22T16:50:59Z
I would think there are a lot of pure cream butters available in Germany and most will be from grassfed dairy cattle. You don't need to buy Kerrygold just for the brand name--it was probably made to lower the cost in Germany in competition with local pure butters.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/157259/kerry-gold-butter-in-germany/157371#157371 Answer by Kikilula for Kerry Gold butter in germany Kikilula 2012-10-22T19:31:00Z 2012-10-22T19:31:00Z
Kerrygold Extra isn't butter... http://www.kerrygold.de/produkte/kerrygold-extra/ungesalzen.html

Look for this: http://www.kerrygold.de/produkte/butter/original-irische-butter.html

There are some others you can look for:

http://paleowiki.de/index.php/Butter#Butter-Tipps
http://paleohacks.com/questions/157259/kerry-gold-butter-in-germany/158294#158294 Answer by Sam for Kerry Gold butter in germany Sam 2012-10-26T18:13:19Z 2012-10-26T18:13:19Z
Update: I found Kerrygold butter in another supermarket (Globus), and listed the butter as 82% fat, and no other ingredients. I think the difference has to do with what company packages the butter (I need to look and compare what companies did the packaging). On the package it says the butter is from Ireland but packaged in Germany. Thanks to everyone for the resouces and answers. If I find some more brands that are 100% grass fed and raw I will post for the community.
