This was a long time ago, when I was into long distance cycling. I learned my lesson. I was riding too many miles per week for too long a period of time.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/27280/when-did-you-know-you-were-overtraining/27290#27290 Answer by The Quilt for When did YOU know you were overtraining? The Quilt 2011-03-12T23:22:28Z 2011-03-13T00:32:44Z
When my sleep was disturbed dramatically and when my cortisol levels rose with that sleep change. I also began to see a creeping up of my fasting blood sugar and this showed me I had to shut it down. This occured from the rising cortisol setting off my sympathetic nervous system in mobilizing sugar from gluconeogenesis and the glycerol back bones of the lipolysis. Melatonin and complete darkness made the cure easy......and then I went to a VLC diet (really zero carb) for about 12 days until my fasting sugars went to baseline. Magically sleep returned and I know I was past the adrenal fatigue......during this time I upped my DHEA reflexively as well. I also paid attn to my muscles and soaked them in the hot tub while I drank alot of natural calm. Hope this helps.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/27280/when-did-you-know-you-were-overtraining/27304#27304 Answer by Chris for When did YOU know you were overtraining? I lift for a total of 10 muscle groups (upper + lower body), and after 6 weeks had to leave 4 of them out. Now I try to walk a few miles a few days per week, and I've cut back lifting to 2-3 days per week. I feel and look better.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/27280/when-did-you-know-you-were-overtraining/27545#27545 Answer by oliverh for When did YOU know you were overtraining? oliverh 2011-03-14T22:07:57Z 2011-03-14T22:07:57Z
when my body said "no" the next day
http://paleohacks.com/questions/27280/when-did-you-know-you-were-overtraining/27546#27546 Answer by lalabomba for When did YOU know you were overtraining? lalabomba 2011-03-14T22:14:08Z 2011-03-14T22:14:08Z
when it took more than 2 days to heal from the previous work out.
