Do you mean eating past the point of comfort, or eating more than some calculation says you should? Or does it mean eating so much that you gain weight, or something else?

I eat a lot, but there is also a lot of variability. Some days I'm busy or not very hungry, some days I eat frequently or very large portions. Sometimes when I eat, I'm sure I could have waited longer, but I almost never feel uncomfortably full.

OTOH, if sugary foods are included, I'll easily, unmistakably overeat.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/27505/overeating-days-dont-want-to-call-it-a-cheat/30192#30192 Answer by Travis Culp for Overeating days? You shouldn't have any desire to snack on food if your meal composition is correct.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/27505/overeating-days-dont-want-to-call-it-a-cheat/30196#30196 Answer by Shari Bambino for Overeating days? I ate twice the calories and carbs I normally do. It was like I just could not stop eating. I wasn't gorging myself but I just felt like I "needed" to eat. I was eating every couple of hours probably. All acceptable foods but it felt a little bit compulsive which was slightly disturbing. Thankfully this doesn't happen often enough to feel concerned. I wish though that I understood why I had these days.
http://paleohacks.com/questions/27505/overeating-days-dont-want-to-call-it-a-cheat/30200#30200 Answer by Goose for Overeating days? All day, I have been eating stuffed cabbage leaves and beef.

Yesterday, I ate lots of figs...so good.

I feel a little guilty and bloated, but until I feel even worse, I think I will keep eating. :D :(

I think my body might be trying to compensate for the extreme fast I did Thursday and Friday AND the incredible stress of that day (I had terrible anxiety that made me want to throw up a little).

I have a theory that the crappy self-concept that occurs after eating too much comes from the same low self-concept that one feels directly BEFORE eating too much. (As opposed to feeling bad simply from eating too much- the overeating seems more like a symptom). Something to do with self-pity, desperation, feeling trapped?
http://paleohacks.com/questions/27505/overeating-days-dont-want-to-call-it-a-cheat/30206#30206 Answer by StalkingMySupper for Overeating days? You know those contests where if you finish a 3 pound steak it's free? If you put that steak in front of me, I could easily do it. So if I did not somehow track what I eat, it would just get out of control. Hopefully over time it won't be that way anymore.
