I'm about to order some fermented cod liver oil. But I wasn't sure what flavor was best.

I've tried normal cod liver oil in the past and I can't help but gag at the strawberry flavoring.

I know it's more money per dose but I tried normal cod liver oil and that was bad enough, let alone fermented version.

After a while, you just get used to it. I wash it down quickly with warm herbal tea.

But I have a really hard time with fish oil. It isn't the taste so much, except that the oily smell seems to penetrate everything that I touch within 20 minutes of taking the oil and is impossible to wash off. But the oil that has stuff mixed into it to be more solid is absolutely impossible to eat -- does anyone really want to chew fish oil? I have no idea how people eat this stuff.

Capsules seems like the best approach, if one could be convinced that the oil is just as rich and nutritious.

I just don't know!!
I am grateful for the ability to chug down a spoon full of the stuff no worries.. I'd never get flavored version IMO- why contaminate?

Mine came with an oral syringe dealio, like the kind you use to give meds to animals or young kids. I squirt a teaspoon in my mouth then take a big gulp of raw milk to wash it down. The stuff I use really just has a bitter aftertaste. The other key is the smell. Using the oral syringe means you won't smell it so there won't be as strong of a flavor.

Also, I noticed you linked the cod liver oil and butter blend from green pastures. Costwise it's kind of a gimmick. I just get the straight cod liver oil from them and either eat a tablespoon of coconut oil or pastured cultured butter either straight or with my food.

I used to put it in food (yogurt) but can now take it "straight up". The oily goodness allows it to slide effortlessly past the gag reflex!

I don't see what the problem is. But, I am also the kind who bursts DHA pills inside my mouth to taste the fish, so don't take my word for it.
